I am running 1" lift shackles on the front of my truck. I got them from a friend that had an old gladiator truck but they fit the 715 perfect. They are the BJ's-offroad heavy duty shackles. Here is a link to them http://www.bjsoffroad.com/CartGenie/prod-470.htm and here is a picture with them installed on my truck. they give just enough lift with out changing the diff angle too much
My experience with lift shackles on other rigs is that they have a big effect on handling. Lots of wallow on the road.
Gwen could give a better statement on how they work with the M715 but I would be more inclined to do a 1" body lift before shackles.
thanx for the info, been considering body lift also
Most of the time with a shackle lift the problem is not the shackle itself, but the bushings are already worn, and then you put more leverage on them. If the bushings are in good shape (put new ones in!!) a one inch longer shackle should not make a difference in handling. As far as body lifts, there is a lot more involved than just a few bushings, you have altered leverage for the pedals, steering column, floor pan interference for the shifters, and increased loading on the body mounts. If it were me, . . .I would rather do 1" shackle than mess with the body mounts.
If you are interested in a body lift, talk with Fisherman. He did one on his rig.
