Default New member and new owner

Hello all. I am the proud new owner of a '68 M715, VIN# 31098 10/68. Truck was restored by a previous owner (not the guy I bought it from). Perhaps a member of the forum? Couldn't be happier with it. I have attached the only picture I have presently taken just before some trail time this past weekend. Truck performed outstanding. It has the original Tornado 230 and drivetrain except for wheels and tires. Looking forward to years of fun. Thanks for the excellent site.

Hey, I've been to Saratoga Springs before. Was there with a couple of buddies in early '05 when we were stationed in Groton, CT. Can't remember the name of the restaurant we ate at, but we ended up going to the car museum and saw some nice Shelby Cobras.

That's a nice looking truck you've got. Probably one of my favorites so far.

Yep, truck belong to a former Zone member. The markings on it were made by me. I believe he went by Elohim or something along those lines. He was located near Dayton Ohio. He originally bought it unrestored from a member up here in Michigan but I forget which one. It's been years, and several versions of the Zone ago.

Who made the rims? They look alot like the Firestone rims on my 725.

Dave, Thanks for the history of the truck . I figured someone in the forum had done the work. I appreciate their effort.

The truck tires are Goodyear Wrangler MT 37x12.5R16.5LT. I think they are the size used on Hummers. Not sure on the rims. I will try and find out.
