    Default NP200 drum ass'y

    Hello,
Does anyone know if the parking brake assembly in a NP200 can be indexed (in my case 180deg)? When I took the drum out to mount a 1410 yoke, I didn't pay attention...
My M715's NP200 is in my J300 now and to couple the parking brake with the truck's parking brake cable, indexing the entire assembly would make it much easier.
    Thank you.

Look at the bolt pattern of the cast peice that holds the brake band and the lever that actuates the band. If memory serves me correct, there are 5 bolts holding it onto the back of the x-fer case, and I do not beleive they are symetrical in a way that will allow 180 degrees of rotation. If I'm wrong and the bolt pattern will allow it, then I don't see why it wouldn't work. Or if you could see about drilling an extra hole in the cast assembly. I have a NP200 apart, but I won't have access to it till this weekend, I could look if you haven't figured it out by then.

Thank you. If taking a couple of pictures isn't a big hassle, I'd love to see them.

I think it's a no-go. The 5 holes were not symetrical if I recall correctly and there is that groove on the bottom that is there for oiling or something. I'm not 100% on this but I did just have mine apart and swapped onto a 205. Both the 200 and 205 have that groove or notch or whatchamacallit in the bearing retainer.
