I forgot to measure my worn out oak slats before I threw them out. Anyone know the propper length?

If they are the one piece boards on the troop seats, they are 87 inches...7 feet 3 inches.
(just measured.)

If they are the two-piece boards in the troop seats, the overall length is the same, right?
Stoopid question, I know, but the way you phrased it made me take pause. Most of the boards I'll be making are going to have to be spliced. The long ones are just horribly warped.
Funny, but when I brought Nick to our cage plant in Alabama following the FE, I saw a stack of that wood there, ready to be made into crates. I started laughing because they're as warped in that pile as they are after I got them! I always figured the warping would be worse from sitting out in the weather at the job site, but no.... The 48" pieces look very good though.

The 2 piece boards do end up the same length, yes. I guess I was alluding to the fact that if its a 2 piece board it would be a different length wise measurement for each piece due to the overlap joint design...meaning the individual pieces would add up to a greater length but when assembled would be the same overall measurement....
I seem to have attempted to make this complicated....sorry.
