Never heard of anyone doing it. But why? The stock springs are plenty enough to support insane amounts of weight. (Now that I've heard of people doing!)
cant leave well enuf alone.
going for a 4 link suspension.
I have some air bags from a container converter dolly that I was thinking about using for that.
we have just a tad bit of welding to do but we are down to the frame...anyway.. loking for 8-12 inch travel.
son-in-law has built some baja buggies so we are kind of relying on him for set up.
For that kind of travel, with the bags I have, there would have to be some kind of fulcrum. I honestly have not looked into it that far.
Maybe a little off topic ... but i have 4 16" travel firestone airbag that was installed on a previous project .... it was totally insane ... but never drive drive it on the road .... on the front axle with all that travel i was forced to used full hydro steering and a real triangulated 4 links .... more you have travel ... more problems that comes with it !!

I actually thought of doing that on mine, but was strongly encouraged AGAINST it by my friend who is a truck mechanic for a construction company. He said his concern was that it would be nice for on-the-road, but the leveling control valve would be a nightmare off-road, because every the the suspension dropped it would try to compensate with the air pressure, ..I decided to stay with the leaf springs. . .FWIW
i think coil over was more of a plan.....
lets see what happens...
