brake shoes
I have been all over just about every brake sticky or thread I can find. buried somewhere around here is part number for brake shoes that supposedly fit without modifications, maybe off a chevy truck?
Does anyone know either A. is that information correct and B. where that information is?
It was a reply to a post, not a thread title or anything, just a few words of advice that seem to have disappeared.
sorry to start another brake shoe thread!

Thank you.
I must have gotten the wrong shoes also. I could not make the napa# ts320 or autozone #451 to fit even after cutting and grinding.
What I did discover is that you can take the linings off the new steels and rivet to the original steel of the shoes. Rivet holes line up perfectly, original rivets were brass. I used steel rivets, please anyone chime in if they know of a legitimate reason I shouldn't do this but my logic say's it should be fine.

^ I did exactly what you described. Used AutoZone 90' Chevy brake shoes liners and reriveted them to the stock m715 shoes. 2 rivet holes are off by like half of a hole on the long shoe I think. I've had them on the truck for a couple months. I can lock up the tires again. If I don't get my 14 bolt rear axle set up soon I'm doing the same thing in the back because I have no idea how bad my rear liners are currently. I did the F350 wheel cylinder swap too.

Good to know. I've got a set of the chebby choes on a shelf, was going to modify them when my stock shoes wore out.
Probably go that route instead
