Heeelllllpp! How do I differentiate between a T-18 and T-98 tranny? I have a 10-spline shaft from the tranny, so I'm assuming T-18. Is this correct?
Need a bellhousing to fit. Was told Jeep bellhousing that fits 3-speed will also fit.
Thanks!

Tranny help
The t98 is a 10 spline...so no luck there...the only difference I know of is the bolt pattern on the front of the trans...t18 has even spacing between the upper and lower bolts on both sides...the t98 has the bolts closer together, very obvious visually, on one side and spaced wider like the t18 on the other.
Hope that helps.

All T18 and T98's I've had laying around, had either "T18" or "T98" cast on the shift tower. Easy enough :)
Bellhousings should be identical. Just make sure you get one with the correct input shaft lenght (6cyl input shafts are shorter than V8 trannies).
