Thanks Jon. I should have spent more time searching.
I got one from NAPA for a 66 chevelle. Just minor tweaks to make it fit.
I did too...thats a modine 289 or equivalent.
For what it's worth, civilian 230 radiators will not fit. The M715 uses the larger 66? + radiator like the 232/258.
I went through all the civilian Jeep radiator I could find...the closest fit as one that had the hose connections right but was only a 2 core...coolant temp was 15 to 20 degrees higher on the highway...let alone crawling off road...
Application...I dont remember exactly but it was a mid-late 70's FSJ 6 cylinder...I think...
Right, I meant it uses the same approximate size. I'm not sure how anything else corresponds to the 230. The civi 230 radiator is very small compared to any thing else FSJ's used.
Yep...know what you mean...I saw one of the stock civvy 230 radiators...didnt understand why it was so small...
Not that they are a dime a dozen, but if you/someone found an NOS radiator for the right price, grab it. brand new copper does not get brittle, an original used radiator that was subject years of heating/cooling and corrsion can give you problems down the road, but metal does not go bad from sitting. guys have paid 1000.00 plus for original muscle car radiators that are NOS and they work fine when installed. I kept my original radiator, and may have it recored someday if the core is available.
