Gas pedal ball studs
Ok my throttle pedal has never felt right since I got the M715 about two weeks ago I pulled it apart and let me tell you it was in bad shape. The two ball studs that come up from the floor where rusted and bent beyond repair. So I got the FSN/NSN number for them and tried to find them on the net. I searched for about a week and then just on a whim I called Memphis equipment. The guy took a second to think then said ya we have those since I needed a carb kit I just ordered everything from them. They came yesterday and I thought looking at them they where going to be horible to try and get out I envisioned drilling, heat, etc. I went out today and used a set of vice grips and they came out as easy a new bolt. I installed the new ones with nice lock washer and anti-sieze and I must say my gas pedal has a much better feel to it now.
Here are some shots of the old ones.

Wish I had knew that Memphis had those.
I ended up welding round stock onto a bolt and then turning it down to make the ball portion. While I was at it I made a new mounting plate too.
Here's the old and new

If I ever get my truck running, maybe I will actually experience the improvement in pedal feel.

At this point, I have absolutely no idea of part numbers or the exact application, but I carried the best of my studs to NAPA, counter guy went right to the back, and came back with a pretty close replacement. IIRC, it was a piece of a carb linkage off of something. Not much help I know....but he did have them on the shelf. You are covered, but maybe someone else needing them can get lucky at NAPA too.

Thats a hell of a big ball stud for a carb.
