I know Kwai has a set on one of his trucks, but it is a long ways away. I need to know what the model number of them are. I found some that are new, only one set left, but want to make sure they are the right ones. They are of course silver and gold. They have M14 stamped in the middle of them. Do these sound like the right ones? Does anyone have a picture of them? I didn't even think about snapping a picture of them at the time. I plan on picking them up on Monday or Tuesday if they will work.
Mine have the M14 stamp in the dial. Looks like you're in PC.
Yup , I have M14 hubs on my 715 . the original box they came in also has #7269 on it . These were bought by me back in the 80's from WARN. hope this helps . TOM
Great! Looks like I found the ones I was looking for. Thought for a minute I would have to buy selectos.

Going to install them tomorrow with a little luck.
Not trying to be picky, but you might as well go ahead and make a day of it by pulling the bearings out, checking them, the seals and putting new grease in while you are at it. A day doing this at home now is better than a few days on the road trying to find the stuff to do it on the road this summer.
Grease them bearings up good...you never know what will happen on the road...DONT ask me how I KNOW that....

I planned on that since I haven't been in there in over a year. My mother-in-law is in town for a few days so I will be spending plenty of time in the garage, LOL!

Got the hubs on today. What a pin getting the studs off! I welded the nuts on the studs and most of them came right off but the last two had to be a royal pain, but I got them off. Here are a couple pics. They work great and while driving I can fell the difference. Thinking of painting them black.

Nice Hubs, whatever color they end up!
The hubs are now black to match the axles. Still need to do a few touch ups from putting the tire back on but man do they look nice!

I think I might have left the knob natural...but it sure aint my truck...looks good either way.

You better throw the junk somewhere, but do not use your truck with free wheeling hubs. I once used them and later had to rebuilt the trans! The bearing is not made for that. And noise will not be less. So, forget it. I know what I'm talking about. I own a M715 since 26 years and drove it for almost 100,000 miles.

What are you talking about Wolf-dose, manual hubs junk? Toasted your trans? I don't think the hubs had anything to do with your trans. What bearing? I'm sure you know what your talking about, but I'm not too sure your right.
Wolf-Mann, the hubs merely let the front wheels spin without turning the front axle shafts, front differential and front driveshaft. With fewer parts spinning, you have more power available and less wear and tear on parts. I'm not sure how this could affect the transfer case or transmission. Could you elaborate on what your experience is? Danke!

Good luck on the Warn Hubs, they are hard to find. I got lucky. You can get the selectros pretty easy.
