Just curious if anyone has run across any die-cast or plastic models of the 715 or 725?
I always look and have never seen anything, but figure somewhere in the world there may be something.

Beast made his own M715 ot of Jeep kits and peronal skill...maybe he will post up...he did a GREAT job on his model.
Jon, have you heard anymore on the scale model they were making?

No I haven't....should check that out again...
Do you know any history on the one in the pic? What company made it? That's a very neat little truck!
Yep, I built a 1/18th scale M715 by combining parts from three different models and scratch building quite a bit of it also. I started with a 1/18 diecast Jeep wagoneer for the front half and part of the chassis, a 21st Century 1/18 Dodge WC56 command car for wheels, rear fenders, six cylinder motor to start mods from, and a few other odds and ends, and finally a 21st Cent. 1/18 M151 mutt for M-series items like lights, radio ant, seats, gauge cluster, and gas cans. Most all of the bed was scratch built with styrene sheets and square stock. I tried to make it function as close to a real M715 as possible, The hood and doors open, soft top and frame are removable, troop seat fold down and are removable, front wheels turn, and the windshield folds down. The only thing not working was being able to hinge the tailgate, due to the funky design that allows them to fold out and all the way down clearing the bumperettes.

A true work of art!
wow, nice work
Dave, that is sweet! Nice attention to detail.
Wow, that is incredible!! Are you sure that isn't just a shrunken 715??
Very nice work indeed. I know that takes a lot of patience and skill.
Thanks, guys! It almost took as long to build as my real M715. I would peck away at it an hour or so a night for quite a while. The shame of it all is that I have at least $150 in just the materials I used to build it. Between buying 3 complete models to cut apart and all the styrine stock.

Isn't it "Trident" that makes a very small model?
Fit and finish are supposedly not the best and its real small if I remember correctly, like 1/87th or something.
Yes, it is HO scale for use with model railroading. Which means that is about the size of a hot wheel car.

Hehehe......Even a representation of a 715 will still drain the wallet......

Yep it was about the right ratio for the real one 1/18.
