Fellow Zoners,
I am going to install power steering in my Hercules M715 next week. I found a J30 Box and pump. My buddy who is going to help me with the install, has suggested installing a Universal Steering Stabilizer at the same time.
Any recommendations and source for this Steering Stabilizer?

Would a box from a CJ fit? I have a couple of those in the shed, and this is one of the first upgrades that I am planing. Thanks:D
I should think a FSJ box would be better. Mine bolted right in,with no problems at all.
Sounds good now I will have to do some hunting. :D
A CJ box from I think '73 on up will fit. Whenever they redid all the CJ steering in the early '70's and newer is what will fit.
But, a FSJ box, pitman arm combination is what you really want.
I think the break is:
73 and back...no go.
74 and up...yes!

If your box's have a "7" and a "6" on them that is the one you want.
Thanks for the input. I called Sumitt and never heard back. But from a friend, I had heard they are not DOT approved and are for off-road only.
Also, I think shipping would be a killer.
I've a spare brand new pitman arm if you need it. $30 plus shipping.
If he doesn't take the pitman arm, I may be interested.
