The guys over on the IFSJ board keep talking about how cool Crewcab (4 door) M715s look and I can't find info or photos anywhere.
Does anyone have photos of a customized crewcab?

Closest thing I've seen to that is the guy that bobbed a wagoneer and put a shortened 715 bed on the back. Might have had 715 front fenders too. I posted at IFSJA when I was thinking about buying my truck. He said he's owned 20 or more 715s.
This is one that lives in Mass. Very cool, but I have not seen it in person.

uh oh, I thought this was more of a pro-life board.
Taco is going to get us on the abortion topic yet again!
Nice duel filler necks...
I believe I have a picture of the passenger side of that same truck that Bump_r posted from a show he went to some years back.
I think I have one saved in a folder called "abomination!" if you can't find it, Jon.
heheheh. JUST KIDDING. I don't like the looks of it, but I didn't build it. I am a strong believer in personal freedom, so... drive on! At least it looks well-done.
Would be better if it wasn't lowered. That's just retarded.
It isn't lowered. It's on small tires. And huge running boards. Makes it look low. I have the same issue with my dually. It's actually pretty high, it's just waaaaaaay long. I took the cowboy running boards off and it looks normal now.
It uses a civvy window frame. You can see the triangle in the front on both front doors. It's made to "look" like an M715. Kinda like those "Hummer" kits that use a Suburban chassis.
I don't see any pictures in this thread, so I assume you guys are talking about the Webbee Webbing desert tan 4dr? I don't have the picture, just know what you are talking about. I think.
Looks like an M715 with a cab stretch and civvy doors....so I think its an M715 with mods not a "looks like" kit type....
Heres the pic from Bump:

There is a pic in the 3rd post and I just added one in the post just above this one.
Everytime I see that truck I throw up in my mouth a little. Please stop posting pics of it.
Long trucks do need huge tires to look tall. I have 37s on my IH crewcab and it still looks like it needs bigger ones.
Dave
This is more of what I was thinking, but on the M715 frame instead of the Wagoneer frame.

With some minor adjustments, it would actually be a pretty cool and functional truck. I'd like an extended cab.
First, ditch the civvy doors or modify them to M715 specs, as that is the worst part. Second, shorten the extended cab a bit. Third, ditch the tripod mirrors. Fourth, lose the running boards. Fifth and finally, yeah bigger tires/lift.
That is my truck now (the wag/choptop). I got it from FSJeeper (Pascal) a little while back.
I have changed a few things since he had it.
It now has a TBI AMC 360 engine (thinking about switching it to propane).
I swapped in a different frame (GlennTX's old choptop).
And different axles, rims, tires.
Dana60 and 70 with 4.56 gears, etc.
There are only two things that are bad with mine.
The rear wheel wells are too small to run large tires. I think I will be limited to running a 38" or so tire (I wanted to run a 40" to 42" tire).
And there is some rust holes in the floorboards. Nothing major, but you can see through them in places.
I haven't ran this setup yet, and I am still waiting on my rebuilt T18 transmission.
It has the TBI 360, Ranger Overdrive, T18, NP205. Should be nice gearing for now. And plenty of stick shifters in the cab :|
FSJeeper's latest project will be a FULL crewcab project. He is still debating what frame to use, but it should be interesting to see it finished. (Whenever he picks up the darn cab sitting out front of my place....)
You can run 42's. Barry does. :)
I think I'm up to like 9 levers in the cab as planned.
1-auto shifter
3- t-case shifters
2- cutting brake levers
1- PTO engagement
1- Ebrake
oops, only 8. no idea how they're all gonna fit yet. :)
I can't run the bigger tires. I have the same inner rear wheel well as the wag does. It SHOULD have fit a 40" tire, but it supposedly rubs the inner fenderwell on the back tires at full stuff.
Fronts are no big deal.
I had 44"s on my last m715. They fit fine with the spring over.
Levers so far:
1 - Ranger
1 - T18
1 - NP205 (will make a twin stick setup later on).
Still need to do the Ebrake. And I will do a hand brake for it cause I HATE the foot style ebrakes.
Nothing on the shifters compared to you though :P
Yeah, but you have to remember that all Tacoma's shifters are still in a pile on his garage floor.
I couldn't resist.
let us thank the fine people of the commonwealth of massachusetts once again for our ability to add bad taste to anything. im not so ashamed anymore to have a red paint job...
