Hello. I am a Jeep fan going way back, but just bought a 1969 M715 as a project. Its in pretty good shape but is leaking brake fluid so that's the first item of business.
It came with a military snow plow and a PTO winch that I don't want, so if anyone is interested in them, let me know.
I'm eager to get started but need more info. Anybody who knows where to find a manual, please let me know.

by manual. I mean printed manual. I know of the pdf manuals, but I am looking for something like a haynes manual. sorry I was unclear

What is your intended use for the truck...that will help us point you in the right direction. My truck is for getting ice cream and going to Lowes...
Welcome, nice looking truck. For the actual paper manuals the best way is to search eBay or check at local military vehicle shows. In the mean time download the ones from the top of this page. They are the same and John took a lot of time to scan the original paper manuals to convert them to PDF's for this site. The most common ones needed are the 1. TM 9-2320-244-20 Organizational Maintenance Manual 2. TM 9-2320-244-34 Direct Support and General Support Maintenance Manual and 3. TM 9-2320-244-34P Parts Manual. These 3 manuals will have most everything that an average person needs to maintain a M715.
Also there is no military snow plow attachment for the M715, that is something someone added after it's military life. The PTO winch, if it has all the pieces can sell for a decent price. You need all the linkages, frame extensions, and drive line pieces to make one work.
not sure where I'm headed with it. my wife says restore it to historic level but my son says restormod it to make it more user friendly. I'm thinking somewhere in between: keeping it outwardly historic but mod to make it easier from me and my wife to drive. my son wants to give it power steering and brakes. we'll see. more pictures coming, including a shot of a odd leak from the transmission.
Portrayal Press makes reprints of the original military manuals...you can get copies there.
FYI: Our online ones have multiple sources behind them, included several versions of the military manuals and some hard to find original Jeep manuals that were used to write the military ones from I think. Between all of these, there is a lot more info than there is in any single manual you will find. Some of the stuff in the Jeep manuals is never included in the military ones.
I took all the different versions I could find and combined them into the manuals page we have here to give the broadest coverage available.

turns out the plow is pretty ordinary - the winch is issue with the special bumper that holds it. Unfortunately someone cut the PTO shaft to remove the winch. still have the gears and the attachment but the shaft is gone. I'll try to find pics.

That is a nice truck! It appears that whoever had it took good care of it.
well, someone tried to take care of it, but the seller won't cooperate with researching its history. I guess he just wanted to sell it and forget it.
