URGENT...ALL READ!! Website outage Monday Nov 14, 2011

As of the morning of Monday, November 14th, 2011, I will be locking the site at about 8am Eastern time.
The site WILL still be viewable and searchable but it will NOT be available for members to post to.

In this way, we can copy the entire site, lock stock and barrel, over to the new server and then activate everything there and run tests to make sure everything is working right..then we will, essentially, flip a virtual switch and we will be on the new server setup and I will immediately set the site to accept posts again.

Sorry in advance for the inconvenience.

Not sure exactly what the time frame will be but I will see if there is a way I can put up a note to say how its going or how long it will be...hopefully a few hours should cover it. It is a little involved as the hosting company has to do stuff and Hammer has a bunch to do...hopefully it all goes smoothly.

You should have cut the red wire, not the white wire. It's always the red wire.

Well...some of us are back...others are going to have to wait until the dns settings are updated all over the web...could be up to 72 hours before everyone gets in again...hopefully sooner...

You are right Don...we are looking at that...Hammer thinks part of it is due to the updating process servers dont get done with till about 72 hours after a changeover like ours...hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Should be fixed now.
Ends up being a change in the backend software, so I had to change some code in vbulletin to make it happy.

Just tested it and it does work!!
