This is for my 1958 Dodge M37, the spring perch width is only 28.5". The 4 inches brings the axle down to 63.8". I am retaining the matching rear axle's stock width of 65" stock.
The narrowing jig came from Kick Ass Offroad
I just got home from Rausch Creek. I borrowed my friend's CJ-7 "Least Capable" for the weekend.

My truck is at the upholsterer's getting a new top made with #8 Army Duck. I couldn't use a reproduction top with my modified bows. I also ordered a little electric windshield defroster for the mean time while I don't have a heater.
The top is finished on my truck. I picked it up this past Monday. After the rain we have had for the past few days, my wipers quit working. I have to see if it was the switch or the motor.

Top looks good. Think there will be any problem with water pooling on it since it is so flat?
On another note, your trees are not as red and orange as ours are 450 miles South of you. Looks like they will peak shortly here.
The top looks BA!!!! Almost like the truck is back in the service with a fresh flat top hair cut!!
I ordered a universal heater assembly from Summit. I need a heater in my truck, I want to be driving it. I still need to order a new wiper motor as the 4 months of rain prior to me getting a top on it did not do the old one any good. I opened it up and water just poured out.
My heater arrived on Thursday. I will finally have heat!! For a second time.... This one puts out 28,000 BTU vs 12,000 from the Mojave heater.

We just got hammered with 25" of snow in a 24hr period here in CT. So I took the beast to work... While plowing at work, this is what I came home to. 5.88 gears plus a Cummins 6BT is WAY too much torque for the snow!

I ordered the parts to replace the front brake hoses for both my M715 and my M725 with stock wheel cylinders. Listed is the total order to do two vehicles.
(2) AAF-ALL50100 -3AN to 3/8-24 female inverted flare (pair)
(2) EAR-591932ERL -3AN to 7/16-24 male inverted flare (pair)
(4) Sum-220306 -3AN 20" long braided brake line (each)
(1) AAF-ALL50150 brake line retaining clips (pk 4)
I also ordered a new wiper motor from Quadratec. No autoparts store around me has a 3-wire CJ wiper motor.
Install pics of the heater?
I will, but not yet... its cold out
Here are the components replacing the stock rubber brake hoses. I got enough parts to do both the M715 and the M725.

I guess the jig is up, a couple of detectives found my truck haha. Too bad I was at work :-(
No, a member from NY was in town and deduced where I lived and found my truck. I just didn't get to meet him. Goes by the name Orange something.

Glad to know that I can get bushings from NAPA
Not for long, there are only a handful at the main warehouse in Texas. They are no longer producing them.
I'm a fan of the willys wagon. Your dad did a good job. Got the answers i was looking for. Needed to know how close Front drive shaft was to engine and your radiator set up was. Liked seening it in person. pictures don't do it justice.
I ordered some of the raw materials I need to make a new front axle for my truck. I will be widening a Dodge D60. I hope to have the housing done within the next few weeks. I have been working non-stop on the Willys Wagon, building a new frame from 3x4" 3/16" tubing.
I ordered a 12" long piece of 3.125" OD x .500" wall DOM tubing so I can widen the Dodge D60 for my truck.

I finally welded in patches on the tranny cover. My transfercase shifter handle broken when I took it off, so I made a new one from a Dana 60 spider gear.

I have the parts to widen the Dodge D60F axle housing. I intend to have the housing done this weekend and if I do, I will post some pictures.
I started making the "Wide axle" for my M715 today. I didn't get to finish it today, but it will be welded together tomorrow.

Sorry for the late... really late response. This SOA has been a real slow upgrade. I just got my axle shaft in yesterday.

I sold my M715 today. Suffering from postpartum... I still have my widened axles and may sell them or use them in my M725.
My condolences.
I referred to your build often for inspiration.
It will be missed
I miss it too, but I have way to many vehicles and I am just finishing up my MB.
