I don't know much about that specific kit, but it looks ok to me and having bought a couple steering systems for other jeeps, I can say the price seems fair if the quality is good... Doesn't seem like there's much to it, but a lot of times by the time you buy the tubing, tie rod ends and tooling to build a kit on your own, you usually don't save much!
Yeah I didn't think the price was that bad either, figure it might save some time as well
question?..... you know how its kinda of a pain to get to the bleeder value on the rear brakes and the wheel cylinder bolts.... has anyone or can you take the four center bolts out and turn it to the right?? know the brakes will be sideways and i don't know if they would function right lol but just a thought........
lol duh thanks
i feel dumb
you can hold the caliper, bleed fitting up, bleed the air out, then mount it any way you like......al
I ended up using a shallow socket on a 3/8 ratchet to bleed the rear wheel cylinders. Not fun >:-(
D.C. is correct, i forgot that part. put a block of wood in the caliper or the piston may pop out....al
i just put it all back the way it was, gonna go back to upgrading my steering rods and such
so just figure i show some pics of my hydro assasit and my huge 42 gal. gas tank for fun

don't know why my phone takes ghosts pics now lol sorry
some times the case will cause that, or the case in combination with using the flash
Especially if your phone or camera are inside and air conditioned, and you take them out in the humidity, the lens will fog up.

so i guess if no one ends up buying the mule by the end of this month im just gonna keep building on it...bblllaaahhh!!!!!!! trying to decide if i want rockwells or a dana60/14 bolt set up, and if i do the rockwells probly gonna move tire size up to 46"
Seems most say 44 are the limit for 60/14. I believe most of that is for hard wheeling. So depends on ur plan for the truck.
I live on the coast with sand and mud. Guys run around on half ton axles and IFS and dont seem to break anything to often.
I'm going with the tons for that reason. The rocks add considerable weight.
just wondering if you wanted to upgrade the stock braking system on the m715 what route would you go? also do they make a disc brake conversion for the front and back?????
uglytruckling
The stock drums are pretty good. Upgrading the master cylinder to the corvette one should be plenty.
The cost of the uglytruckling kit (which does look nice) is almost the same as a good buy on a D60/14b axle set with all the extras that come with it :-)
I agree with Ronner, get the hydraboost out of the CUCV while your at it.
so i thought i had my truck sold but once again nope....... lol funny how many thumbs up i get driving the mule around town, also funny how many people call it a dodge  oh well
Sold the mule today, just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the info and helping me on this build, its a really fun truck and I had some good times a lot of bad lol but awesome project. I just got back the Very first truck ive ever owned a 1970 blazer and I plan on restoring it, so if you guys out in nevada see the mule give her a pat for me.
Thanks again
Rusty
Totally understand selling and moving on, we cant keep all of our projects. The build is at least half the fun. Too bad we loose our ass on the sale of them though. :)
I like Blazers too, there is one a few houses down from me, I look at it every time I drive by.
here she is my new project

1970?
I always liked those Blazers, but I always hated the rust repair on them. I also love the fully removable top on those early Blazers.
I just saw one of these tonight fully restored but he had the top off it looked really good
Poor loss of the Iron Mule :-(
Is the Blazer going to be named Pewter Donkey?
Or "Flyin Talkin Donkey"
"The Lead A$$" ? :)
Sooooooooooo........ heh are yall gonna laugh when i say im wanting and ready to build another one..... :p
Took you long enough...
ha thanks....... i think i might look for an m725 this time
They do hold the heat in better...
anyone seen my old truck i would'nt mind trying to get it back.... last location i know of was nevada????????
