These seats are COMFY! I cant believe how good they feel. And I dont have to tie the harness into a seperate part of the cage. Its all tied to the seat plating which is beffy to say the least. Guess a seat rated for mines is going to have some meat on it.
Work has gotten the better of me the last 3 weeks or so. But helped get some folks get transplanted so I really cant complain.
Finally got to turn a few wrenches last night. I began the teardown on the Ford D60 front. It has been stripped. Just as I was preparing to reassemble, the bearing puller/separator broke and spent the day sourcing another one so I dont have pics just yet. Ill post the housing cleaning tomorrow.
Time to let a cat out of the bag as it is confirmed now. Jungle Rot will have a compound turbo set up (commonly and incorrectly referred to as twins)! Twins are one turbo for each bank. Turbos in series are compound. It will be the stock HX35 over a HT3B. Everything will clear and it has been ordered. The motor is being built to handle the boost (head studs, high pressure boots, etc).
Can anyone confirm this will be the first compounded M715? If not, Im still beside myself its going to happen. Updates soon I promise. Thanks for the encouragement and interest from all!
My clutch will hold 550 horse and 1100 torque so Ill have to regulate the boost down to about 55psi until I can upgrade the input on the NV4500 to a 1 3/8" with dual disc clutch. Should be pretty exciting!!!
Here is the old R&P out. The gearset was installed not long ago. Too bad it wasnt the ratio i wanted. Oh well.

Going with Yukon on this build. Cant afford to sacrifice quality at this stage or power.

Got the Ring gear on the Ox. I must say this is a great looking unit. It is spring loaded so the first picture is taking apart the locker as it was shipped to get it assembled with the nessecary hardware.

Backside. Yes the gloves are purple as I have had that pointed out to me while working. But it keeps the parts and diff clean which is key to long term survivability.

Just as it was time to get the pold bearings off the open carrier for mock up, the bearing splitter broke so that was as far as I got. Spent the day buying a new one.
Hopefully this weekend, although I am on call for work, Ill get the front axle done. Also picked up new Spicer joints for the axle shafts. Using drive flanges with the Ox.
The drive flanges have a freewheeling puck I can install if I am going to be driving and dont want the axles spinning around town for fuel mileage or long trips.
Yes the fuel mileage was a joke. I estimate this truck will weigh in at 8000 pounds when done. And since the fuel and forced induction will be...lets say modified a bit, MPGs arent the goal hahaha. Ill be posting videos of me pulling sleds at local fairs when its done:D
looking good man!
nice seats indeed for $500, including belts.
