Just an added note:
Thinking back on this, I was able to determine air was getting in the master cylinder by cracking a line at the master cylinder with pressure on the soft brake pedal.

Thinking back on this, I was able to determine air was getting in the master cylinder by cracking a line at the master cylinder with pressure on the soft brake pedal.
When I bled my trucks I replaced the bleeder valves with one that has the check-valve in it. Then ran a line from the valve to a cup to keep air from getting back in. I was able to bleed the brakes myself, one wheel at a time.
And all 4 wheels seem to be working good.
