My Brave Little Truck made it home!

looks great!
Nice new MRW wheels. What size and back-spacing did you order? What tires did you get for that price?
Thanks,
The rims are 16x10 with 5" backspacing
The tires are 385/70R16 Toyo Open Country M/T's (38x15R16 roughly)

There is just something special about walking into the garage and smelling new rubber in the air. The right set of wheels and tires can make the vehicle. I am not sure if I can remember a vehicle I have owned that did not get some kind of after market wheels and tires (wife says they are all round - what is the difference?).
Your truck is looking great. Nice wheels and tires.
thank you
I undid the shackle flip that the previous owner had done

I cant wait to see it with the front clip on
neither can I. I just bought a 6"x18' recovery strap and a 10ft 5/8 chain with cradle hooks. Soon I'll be getting a 17,500lb winch and a new locker for the rear axle.
Nice looking winch. If that doesn't have enough power to pull you out................uh oh!
I got the bumpers, shackles, 2" reverse lights, CJ2A tail lights, and tail gate mounted today.

All I accomplished on my M715 today, was I boxed the front frame horns and I painted the gauge panel. I spent most of the morning moving a vehicle with my trailer and then rainX'ing the windshields, lubricating the door latches, and fixing both window tracks of my M35A2. Suppose to rain for the next few days and I need my daily driver to be ready...
I make winches now??? :)
You wont have to worry about having enough pulling power any time soon...NICE!
Glad to see the project is still rolling on toward completion!
Where did you pickup the 2" reverse light? Is it led? I was looking for one a few months ago and didn't have any luck. Your truck is looking great. Can't wait to see the winch mounted.
I got the 2" lights from FleetPride, they are by Trucklite.
I just ordered a brand new Detroit Locker for the rear and also a Uniden 520XL CB.
Took my friend Shawn out for a spin in my M35A2

Bob, I'm glad to see you've made such great progress on the truck! I only wish I had had the time and garage space to do with it what you've done. It's hard enough for me to keep my Bronco in one piece. Next time I get down to your neck of the woods I'll have to stop in for a peek. Maybe we'll get to wheel together when you're done?
Greg
Just got my new locker in!

Actually my name is Tim lol. Defbob is my nickname from when I was a kid. I was wondering how to get a hold of you, I tried sending you a message on youtube (I had lost your email) I'll have the truck on the road come summer, you will definitely have to come down and check out the truck when it is done. I am sure you are very happy to see that your old baby is being treated well :D
Still on the list to get for the truck, E-locker for the front and diff covers from RuffStuffSpecialties
Nice looking locker!
Those ruff stuff covers are awesome, I have them on my XJ. While looking on ebay, I found a guy that is selling the pieces to weld your own (1/4" thick U.S. plate), 2 dana 60/70 covers shipped for $60. I think that's the route I'm going to go, tough to beat that price!
He also sells them all welded up for $75 each, no questions lifetime warranty. I can't speak for the quality since I haven't seen them, but for what I plan to do, I think the kits will be just fine. I hit a rock crossing a river one day, wasn't a real big rock or anything, and the stock cover folded pretty hard...
I'm planning on front and rear lockers this summer too, and I'm curious where you ordered yours from?
Thanks!
I ordered the rear locker from Summit Racing, they had it in stock
I got my front Dana 60 cover from Dan at Ruff Stuff. He is a great guy to work with - very knowledgable and willing to answer any and all questions. The cover is definitely heavy built. It must weigh 25 pounds or more.
25lbs, awesome lol
we need pics! everyday i look at this thread to see if the front clip is on, i cant wait to see it that color green, its going to look awesome!
I haven't made much progress on my truck, I have been reconstructing my friend's CJ7. Also I have been doing little things here and there on my M35A2, making it more driver friendly.
I finally got my radiator and gas tank back from being reconditioned. I hope to start putting my truck back together soon. I will start working on it tomorrow.
This weekend I got the heater box installed as well as the diffuser box I made for the inside. I also got the nose installed for the most part. I still need to do some adjustment and finish tightening the bolts down. I also ran the fuel line and installed the front shocks and power steering return line.

Man, that looks good. I'm having sensory overload: the deuce, challenger, M715... too many cool vehicles in one driveway
Awsome build truck looks great just gonna need shades on to look at that paint lol great job
I got the CB mounted, tranny cooler lines installed, radiator installed, and 12v outlet installed. Soon I will be laying out the wiring harness.
I also bought a 1958 Dodge M37 to replace my CJ7 as my main offroading vehicle. No more CJ7 for me lol
I got the dash wired today spent about 5hrs on it. Tomorrow I will begin wiring under the hood.
