I "Used to" resemble that remark. However, that was actually... 46 years ago!

FYI the tire carrier looks to be the same as a 63-71 Jeep Gladiator. Might be the same as a Wagoneer tire carrier as well.
Anyone know how high the bed floor is above the frame rails int the back there? Setting up for HMMWV spare and Trying to do all of my frame fabrication before it goes out for blasting and don't want to put the bed back on to measure...Thanks!
Another great pic Don...is that a little mischief in your eye?
If the tire carrier is the same as civilian, that would be cool...though none of them used a tire size as big as ours so I wonder...
For future reference, it is right around 5" up to the bed crossmember from the framerails so a 12.50 tire can go up fairly high if you shorten the snubbers...
Hello Ray,
I have that setup myself, but I had to move the round crossmember that is over the rear axle, a few inches forward. That allows for a HMMWV wheel to fit very nicely. I used a strap ratchet as a winch to lift the wheel there, because God knows I can't by myself :)
Hernia-city getting it on the carrier and trying to stay clean at the same time.
