A 13" brake set up? I would only need the backing plates, shoes, hardware and e brake cable if you had it. Let me know.

I finally got the housing w/ gears down to the gear guy so he can install Saxon's old gears with new bearings. It was a 5 hour ordeal cause traffic was horrible :mad:
When I was there, what was sitting in the corner? A 14 Bolt with the backing plates, shoes and brake cables. He said he was not going to use the drum brakes so I will get those from him when I go to pick up the axle. :)
Got new seals off fleabay for cheap.
Also found that Summit Racing has all the bearings/races way cheaper than anywhere else. Plan on replacing them all for good measure.
Need to get the truck back together so when the La Nina blizzard hits I am ready.
Got the axle home. Managed to screw up my back in the process :mad:
Will post some pics of the torn up pinion later on.
Also, the backing plates I got off the 14Bolt down there are not the right ones. A little bit too small. :confused: Guess that hunt is on again.
By too small do you mean the mounting holes or what? I know the bolt holes are close but not exactly perfect...the center hole needs to be enlarged.
Here is what the pinion gear looked like. Very strange.

Btw - it was shimmed the normal way. No funky spring set up.
In case anyone following this link was hunting on these items;

Just to add, I believe Eastern surplus has a factory r/p set to sell. They are also trying to bring themselves into M715's along with the deuces and 5 tons. Figured I would mention it as it was somewhat on par.

Finally tracked down the right backing plates (fingers crossed). I plan on doing a write up on the conversion with pics. Will post it once I am done.
