Is the ram A 1.5" or A 2"? The only reason I ask is I have A 2" on my other rig, and on the road there is A slight steering lag, but I can turn lock to lock with one finger at a standstill with 42" pitbulls:D I have heard that the 1.5s are more road friendly but allitle less output. Keep the pics coming:D
On A quick side note. I wouldnt recomend welding the ram to the diff cover, I made A 1/4" rockring for my 60 front, and it tore 2 bolts out of the housing and bent it to heck:rolleyes: There is allot of preasure there:eek:
I didn't find anywhere where you said either way so I apologize if you did, but what did you use for your power steering box and power brake master xylinder and booster? I need a little advice on doing my truck and I want to do it when I do my motor swap in a month or so. Thanks!
its all chevy parts im running a sb 350 but im not running a booster the truck stops just find but i did upgrade to a dual bowl master cylinder that thread is on here some where... also it is a 2" ram and i do plan on not mounting it to the diff cover.. i think im going to go off my spring perch instead but still thinking about it...
heres what i was thinking for the ram

That is where mine is mounted on my Chevy, no problems in 2 years running it that way.
That will work W/O taring things apart that I had. Your going to love the ram steering:D you can whip the wheel with A couple of fingers:happy10: On my most current setup im running H/B hydro setup and A cooler, and my biggest problem is getting the air out from the system:mad:. Im still working on that one:rolleyes: Also on POR they talked about running some hydraulic oil more like AW46, thats what I run in my setup, its hydraulic oil for hydraulic systems. Im not atall A hydraulic guy, but thats what those systems run:rolleyes:
