You sure did get that thing back together quickly. Nice job. I also noticed the kink in the upper hose. Could be a problem, but who am I to say that with the job you've already done. Obviously you have everything under control.

Actually the upper hose is not kinked. It is a new pre-molded one that I got from Memphis Equip. last week.
The warranty decal came from;http://www.flmv.net/FLMV-DECALS.htm about half wat down, decal #27.
That certainly looks great. I am truly envious but very, very happy for you. Enjoy your efforts, the summer is coming!

Not the greatest of video, but it is running quite well. The only problem is that it does not want to turn off with the ignition switch. I'll have to track that down.
Great! Glad to hear/see it! Did you get that air cleaner NOS from Saturn?
Yes it's a NOS one from Staturn. It even comes with a new filter in it also.
You sure that motor is stock? I don't see any oil puddles.
Your alternator exciter wire and ignition lead are probably on the same circuit somewhere. Look at the back of the on/off switch and see if you can move them to seperate sides.
Wow. That turned around faster than most of us change our oil. Looks great!!
#11 is power in from the batteries.
#27 is the gauges
#12 is the coil
#12 only goes to the coil. The alternator exciter gets its power from #27. If you have a DVOM that beeps on Ohms, use that to figure out if the exciter and the coil power are connected and then back track until they don't beep anymore.
Figured out my problem, wrong ignition switch even though the part numbers match the one in the -34P manual (MS39060-2). A little work modifing it and all works proper now. Thanks for the help guys.
Great job, there. Nice to see one engine swap going the other way for a change.
I had the same idea about the air cleaner. At first I just wanted a new decal for mine, then I wanted to repaint it, then I got a whole new one from Saturn this winter. Oh, well.
Scott
Basicly all finsihed up except for the muffler and end pipe which will hopefully arrive today so I can finish them off. I took it out for a short shake down run down the street and everything worked just fine. It's funny how easy the clutch pushes compaired to the set up that was in it for the v8. I felt like I was going to throw my foot through the floor board everytime I shifted.

WOW, I am impressed! I'm very glad everything worked out well for you!
Yep, glad to see something going back stock too!
How did it handle, V-8 vs. stock?

Runs pretty good.
That looks very nice and it is a pleasure to see one of these old truck being brought back to original.
Good On 'Ya Mate!
And I just watched the video. Thanks for sharing that with us. I would bet it was a cold ride:D And how appropriate to pull up to the gas station;)
Maybe when you get a nice day, you could get a friend to do the camera work and he/she could move the camera around a little to get even more of that feeling. Thanks again!
It wasn't too cold of a ride, the weather is starting to break here and it will not be long before the white stuff is gone from the ground.:D I just did a small loop in the video and came back up to my race shop and added some fresh gas into the tank. After I filled up I went for a little bit longer of a ride and got it up to 50 mph for a couple of miles to warm it up good. At 50 mph she still felt like she had quite a bit more left in her, but better judgement took over and said not to push it too hard right off the bat and to be smart about it. Once the weather fully breaks and the roads and my driveway dry out, then I will take her back home to the garage with the rest of the motorpool fleet.
Cool video!
