AM715 and simelar
Hey,
the AM 715 stuff was for example built in Egypt under licence and had 8 stud axles in stead of 6 stud pattern. To my knowledge they were never supplied to the U.S.Army. A friend of mine owns a scrabed pile of an AM726 with a AMC 4.2 liter gas engine. The mud guards are the same pattern as the Gladiator tucks.
So they are for collectors only, not for the M715 series fan.

The original AM715 vehicles were built here in the US. There are a few here and they were evaluated by the military here and rejected during the mid to late 70's as a followup, improved M715. Thats wen the CUCV stuff came out instead.
Then Jeep licensed others to build them in several countries including Mexico.
No reason they arent for M715 fans...they are a cousin after all.

I always found them interesting and if one popped up, I'd grab it just for its unusual factor.....I'm surprised they didn't catch on as a replacement vehicle for the military.
