The noise just went away. Drove the truck all summer and never heard it agian. I do not think it was the T-Case.
any wheel cyl's seeping or axle seals? they usually cause grabbing though or rust on the drums? might just take and hit the shoes and drums with some sandpaper while you have them off and see it it might be something like that for some odd reason
Mine, too. Always at stop signs. In or out of gear. Clutch in or out. No difference.
The repetition sequence of the noise was at the same speed as wheel revolution. Remember: the T-case is spinning 5.89 times faster than the wheels.
Pulled the drums and discovered almost new rear shoes. Cleaned and adjusted per manual. Still there. Then......poof! Gone. No noise.
