Are you guys lapping floor panels over each other or butting them together? I am getting ready to do mine and want opinions. If lapping, are you welding top and bottom?

Are you guys lapping floor panels over each other or butting them together? I am getting ready to do mine and want opinions. If lapping, are you welding top and bottom?
Butt welds work best but take a bit more work.
For a little bit more strength, and structural integrity I added in 1/4" plate steel rockers I made myself.

I fully welded and boxed them into the bottom cab supports. Once primed and painted you could hardly tell they weren't factory.
These are partial quotes from another thread and this is exactly how I feel about this kind of work because I simply couldn't do it.
