Out of three columns none were tight to the steering wheel, i thought the turn signal lever held the piece in place. One of the steering wheels had a rubber boot that fit between the steering wheel and collar piece, have yet to find a replacement boot.
So am I wrong in guessing the seal you mentioned goes to the outside of the collar on the bottom? I was thinking of using a snap ring to just put a liitile tention where needed. The steering shaft od size doesn't seem too big. Just another idea I had rolling around in my head.
