I'd ask you for more info so I could cite a prior occurrence with the same type truck, but they would probably use it against you rather than help me. The problem I think I ran into with them is that they asked what model and I told them the truth. I'm going to try a few more local guys on Monday or sometime this week when I have time. I picked it up today and I'm going to try to post pics.
AAA was no problem at all - not even questioning the VIN. For your safety, make sure the insurance calls it the same as what DMV calls it. You don't want to be too generic and give them a loophole if there's an accident. I think I pay less than $400 a year for two vehicles with more than the minimum liability only.

I have mine insured with JC Taylor in Upper Darby, PA. They specialize in old vehicles and they know what military vehicles are. Give them a call.
Get this. My duece full coverage special purpose plates 9 bucks a month. m715 has custom plates so its expensive like my regular stuff.
Just an update- I ended up getting 2 phone calls today, 1 from a local insurance agent my friend recommended ($139/6 months) and Gulfway in Florida ($209/year.) I think I'm going to go with the local guy (he didn't mention which ins. company it was through) mostly because it seems to be very difficult to get hold of Gulfway without playing phone tag.
Here is the one I have used on 2 m715's and 1 m725 in the past, the last one was $82.50 a yr,with restrictions like no more than 2500 miles per year, primary used for hobby activities and/or occasional pleasure drives:)
