CUCV axles are getting very hard to find cheap now-a-days.

I can't comment on axles or steering, but while owning an M43 and an M37 that I drove daily, I got really sick of an electrical system voltage that the aftermarket offers almost NOTHING for. 24V is, IMHO, a PITA.

It might, however, be less of a pain than converting all electrical accessories to 12V. I happened to enjoy that process on the M715, kissing all that 24V stuff goodbye.
