Lets have a list of what you have different engine and body wise from the manuals....sounds like we have gaps to fill.

ok, the straps are late issue, and from what i believe were used. i was told by someone who drove one they are used to hold the sides of the cargo cover up in summer as a sun shield. new life resources and beechwood offer a "summer" cargo cover that uses those straps on the cargo bow corners to match on a cargo cover that has some type of clip, buckle, loop for that exact use.

That makes sense to me. Just like the HMMWV has straps to roll up the sides of the back canvas.
Hmmmm...guess we need a closeup of that stuff, if possible...

i plan on buying a summer top and straps, one day
He might have Duce and a half bows and corners...They look like it. They would have a 3/8 course thread nut welded in to hold a canvas strap down. In the summer you could roll the sides of the cargo cover up and at the same point on the cavas cargo cover was the buckle end of the strap set...So you rolled up the canvas and the straps held them in place. M37s had the same thing. Not sure if M715s had them or not...Dosen't look like they did, but if you need straps contact WeeBee Webbing they have them, And they can get you the correct length etc.
Hope that helps a bit here.
I'll get a pic tomorrow .....Quote:
