I wouldnt worry too much about extra parts...remember, we have been looking for a kit due to being able to buy kits for the 1920 Holley only to find extra parts we didnt need and not enough of the ones we do....
So far it looks like a winner!!

So does this carburetor rebuild kit then have the Offical M715Zone Approval Seal of Correctness?
If it's official, I'll let the carb guy know and he'll post the M715 data on his applications list.

I'd do a full rebuild on one to be sure. If I remember from my fooling around with the stock carb, back when I was keeping that engine, the issues were the accelerator pump diaphragm and the vent and gasket. The vent looks good, but I can't remember if the pump diaphragm was supposed to be square or rectangular. I hope this does turn out to be the right one for the carb. All I came up with were dead ends. I'd get one and try it out if it's not real expensive. Might even con your parts guy into letting you have one cheap since if this works I can guarantee he will sell quite a few more from fellow Zoners.

Being that El is absolutely correct anfd we need to actually run this kit and a carb on a collision course first...I would hold off on saying it is "The Kit"....
So who needs a stock carb rebuilt????

Looks a lot like the NOS kit I bought, but mine only had the base gasket on the right (which also doesn't look like the metal one I took off). Perhaps the one on the left is for a governed truck? My round gasket is beveled and fits nicely around the lip at the top of the carb.
Can't be absolutely positive, but it sure looks right!

I'm still rebuilding my carb, but have all the parts I need to finish it.
But I'll take one for the team and order one of these kits just to be sure....

Ive not looked for a carb kit for my 715 yet,but have heard good things said about " Then and Now Automotive." I got my M38 kits frm Mid west Mil,so did not use Tand H . Anyone ever use them or have contact with them. I emailed them asking about a Holley 1920 rebuild or kit for a M715, will let you knowhwat I hear.

Several members have gotten parts or rebuilds from Then and Now with good success.

The small round gasket looks like the auto choke gasket if it came with that.

Memphis Equipment has them(OE Jeep/Kaiser kits).Jeep part # is 944428 for $ 28.36 of course I picked it up personally so shipping will be more.Yes the carb kit you have listed #537 looks exactly like mine but the "Jeep" kit came with a couple more small washers and an extra O ring.
