The bolt bins here at the shop have more than 30k invested in the fasteners.
Our monthly re-fill orders cost 5-800 bucks. All I am trying to say is that trying to buy a lot of different fasteners in 100 lots can get expensive pretty quickly.

Amen! I have near that here myself. The stainless stuff will eat you alive. Grade 8 gets crazy too. Still though, nothing like not having to run to town for a .50 bolt.....

WOW! I wish I was even close to that organized! I guess that sort of thing is why your truck turned out so nice. Can we get that posted in the manuals section? It'd be a great asset to be able to access.

I would second the buying at Tractor supply--really a great way to go if you need some for a project. I loaded up on grade 8 stuff when I was building the CJ7 Ive got

Good for common stuff but our TSC doesn't have any 7/16 or fine thread bolts of any size and the 715 has both. For those, our local ACE hardware had everything and they are high quality.

Unfortunately, the fastener business here in the US is mostly foreign and you can't trust the grade stamps or sizing. I spent 18 years in a fastener manufacturing plant, in engineering, before the foreign companies ran US companies out of business so I know about nuts and bolts. Just a few weeks ago I picked up some 1/2-13 nuts and they did not fit the US bolts I still have. They were undersized and the thread pitch was off (chinese junk). I also recently twisted off the head of a new 5/8" grade 8 marked bolt with just a ratchet. Should not be able to do that. It was soft (TSC chinese junk)
Let the buyer beware, especially for a critical application!
