I ran 40" ground hawds on my old M715, I was running a Ford 390/4spd. I never had a problem. I even had a detoit in the rear end. But most of my offroading was in mud.

Digging up an old thread—- does anyone know the largest diameter tire that will fit without rubbing or trimming? At full flex and turn?
Not asking about axle Strength, let’s assume axles swapped with same width or wider axles, just purely curious about tire rub.
Also is it true that members have fit a 6bt without doing the spring over? I’ve been reading for days refreshing my memory but most of the old build threads lost their photos
12.5 x 38 fits...minor rubbing at full turn...stock setup...Doug put 39.5's on a stock truck...off road would definitely rub...not a lot of room left in the wheel well...
42's will work with spring over and shackle flip...doesnt take much to fit 44's from there too...
