Still have three small fixes and the truck ready for the final inspection ...
- Master that doesn't have the right bore for the rockwells
- Parking light and dash light
- Sparks plugs
What happened to the door? I see it has some dents in it now... So sad!
Oh, that makes me feel much better! I didn't look very closely at the pre-paint pictures and assumed there had been body work done at the same time by the shop. Phew! I am very jealous of your buildup and am hoping to purchase one to build myself, soon.
Don't feel obligated to divulge (especially if your wife checks the forum!) but I'd be curious to see some more figures for the various parts you've bought during the course of the buildup...
My wife is OK with that ... as long as i don't spend over $10K over it ... ( which i have not tell all the truth about parts cost ) ... If i had not chance my mind in the middle of the buildup ( going from 1 ton diffs to rockwells ) the truck had been running for at least a month. But who doesn't changed his mind ......... I bought almost everything i could changed .... new composites light , switch, wipers .... so all the parts around the truck is new or like new condition .. since this truck will be pulling a trailer and the trail rig ... i must done it right. NExt step is powertrain mods .... i want to go with a new setup which would be a spicer 3053a to a backward Np203 and then to a dodge 32 splines Np205 ... but not sure if going to a 4bt or swapping my 6bta
still an awesome truck/build. its awesome that you wife and kids are excited and involved. its way easier to do that stuff with a supportive wife(or none at all ;) )
just as a note, dodge used 23 or 29 spline inputs on their 205s. As far as i know, GM is the only one to have used 32 spline inputs. its an easy swap though if you have the big bore bearing bore case.
