Hi, I'm a new member but longtime reader of the forum. I might be finally getting an M715 soon and its a dream of mine to have a CB radio rigged up. The vehicle I'd be getting still has the 24v system, so I'd need some sort of converter I suppose. I should mention I'm by no means an electrician. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks a lot!
These are the best dc to dc converters I know of...you have to check them to see which ones will take the 24 and convert to 12...they are there. High quality, high efficiency.

A CB requires only a couple amps. One of the buck switching regulators on Amazon would do a fine job for just a few bucks.

OR, you could have a full blown dual system, with either two 12V alternators in series (as in my M-715), of a modified center tapped 24V alternator. If you are interested in this, I will post the paper I wrote on the subject.
