Bridge Plates redux
I'm in the process of completing my M715, and have a bridge plate decal (4), to apply. My question is this: Is the 4 a weight classification, similar to the DOT system of classification? (class 1, 1/2 ton, class 2, 3/4 ton, class 8, semi-tractor , etc.) It would make sense that the 715 was a four, being a 5/4 ton class vehicle. Anyone know if this is the case?

The vehicle weight rating was a NATO standard so you could know what bridges and roads the vehicle could be used on.
