Power Steering Pitman arm????

I just ordered a rebuilt steering box and power steering pump for a 1991 FSJ, my brother in law works in a parts store. I am sure the steering box won't have the pitman arm on it, can I use the arm off my stock box?

Don't think so, but you can use an FSJ one.

Nope, stock arm wont work...compexp has your solution though...FSJ is it!

I hqave one from a 74 CJ with power streering. I don't know if they are the same

good question - maybe check with a parts place to see if the part numbers are the same.

CJ pitman arms will fit on the steering box but are smaller (less "beef") and slightly shorter (very slight difference in length). I would not advise using a CJ setup on a M715. I have FSJ Dana 44's under my CJ8 and a 2000 S10 saginaw steering box (option to FSJ box). I moved the steering box forward 1.5" (M.O.R.E. bracket) and still had to use the smaller CJ pitman arm and upper drag link joint (custom, turned FSJ drag link) to clear my tie rod. Works great on a CJ but not enough "beef" for a big Jeep.

I also have a scout pitman arm. I know it's the same spline and about 4" longer than the CJs
