stupid rockwell question
I know that you can pull the chunk on the rock and drop it back in at 180 from start. This changes the direction of rotation doesn't it? Reason I ask is that I want to replace the np200, but all I keep finding are ford np 205 cases which are ds drop. I'm fairly sure it would change the direction, but i'm just not ready to waste my back testing theory.

I've seen guys do just that and not have any problems. but I don't know why it is.

when you turn it 180 you change rotation of the axles. doing four wheel steer is when you rotate the one in the rear axle or you might have a tug of war go on:cool:

No, you wont be changing rotation because the pumpkin is still rotating in the same direction no matter what direction the housing is pointing. You will have a problem with the steering being on the wrong side of the axle though since it would be tward the center of the truck instead of the front. I am not sure if you could just swap outer ends from pass. to driver.

You should be ok to do this. Thats the nice thing about rocks, they can be used in almost any configuration you can think of.
