Wouts's Pics

I bought it from a friend who collects military vehicles about a year and a half ago. His collection includes a Gamma goat, a Weasel, two Mighty Mights, three or four Mules two M151A2's and his most recent addition, a Hummer!

Since then, I've done a spring over/shackle flip, Stockton wheels and 40 inch Boggers, put on power steering, did Drew's engine/tranny swap(460 Ford with C-6), followed Richard's work on the locker, used a radiator out of a '76 Lincoln and electric pusher fans, installed a tranny cooler, a B&M ratchet shifter, and dual exaust runs out to the back. I put conversion van seats in the bed, with room for a beer cooler in front of the bed...that way your passengers can pass you a beer. Inside the cab, I installed AutoMeter gauges, built a really cool storage box/armrest which generally holds the stereo, some t.p., and the ever-ready snake gun.

Future plans: I recently bought SXL wire and plan to rewire the whole truck. I've also bought a 45-gallon propane tank to mount behind the seats in the back and will be converting to propane injection in the near future. An on-board air system and rollbar are also in the making. The rollbar will replace the homemade rear top.

The truck tachs 3,000 rpm at about 50-55 mph, and usually runs at about 190 to 205 degrees when I'm out in the woods. We stop for a cold one when it hits 225 and let the fans do their thing. I plan to upgrade my cooling system sometime.
