Mitch's M715 Page

Here's further proof that the 38" Super Swampers work on the stock M715 rims

Mitch's story

It is a 1967 Model / 25,000 miles.
First it's home (like most was the US Army (ordinance)). It then went to the Ohio Civil Air Patrol. While in the Air Patrol it was brush painted Blue. Then the M7 went to a public auction where it and several others were bought as a 'lot'. Soon afterwards it was vandalized by high school kids. The Doctor who bought the 'lot' took the engine (230) out of mine to put into another M7 that was in better shape. I found it through an ad in a Military vehicle newsletter.

I arrived far out of town (Cols., OH) to a farm. Behind the barn and down a hill out in the middle of nothing (and weeds) was, my soon to be M7. We towed it home with a Military tow bar and then started in on it.

The truck has a Chevy / torker 350, 4bl., with a lot of non-flashy goodies. This is coupled to a rebuilt GM 1 ton 4sp.. The clutch linkage is all custom/overbuilt and stainless steel (thank you Anhesuer Busch maintance dept.). Stock gears are under 3 1/2" lift re-sprung front sprins and 4" blocks in the rear. Yes, those outer rings are chromed (I would not recommend - for several reasons). All flat black trim is on Mid night Black - with a Black top. The tires DO NOT RUB. They are the 38 swampers. It is fun - but I might be moving onto a stocker.
